This was my second SCANDAL cover with Shiroimamikasuta, and the actual video was my second one of Awanai as I felt the first one sounded too overdriven in the verse. My playing in that one also left much to be desired. This one is pretty so-so too but I digress. And looking back, the guitar during the verse is a tad too ‘under’driven. Heh.

For this cover, it was a mix of playing it by ear plus ripping off another cover and using a band score from the June 2013 copy of GiGS. At this point in time, I only had the PV’s audio to play with as the physical single was only released ten days after this cover was done.

I used the bridge pickups on Shiroimamikasuta for this cover. The settings for the stompboxes are as follows:

The amp is virtual, using simply a Marshall half stack equivalent on GarageBand. This was the pre-Maverick version (I think) which you can’t modify the speaker mic. The verse is played with just the HT-Dual to beef up the slightly overdriven tones of the guitar through the amp.
